Friday Five (12/26/2008)

  1. Do you enjoy reading?
As a future librarian, I am happy to say that I love to read.
  2. What is the first book you remember reading?
I wish I could remember what it was called... but it was a book on puberty. (What can I say? My mama taught me early!) That's the book I remember reading on my own. My mom read to me for years and years before that.
  3. Who is your favorite author?
There are so many good ones.
  4. What is your favorite book?
There are so many good ones.
  5. What is the last book you read and the first you'll read next?
I'm currently reading Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. It is so fantastic. (Freak babies!) Aside from class textbooks, the next book on my list is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.

To see in all directions at the same time

It's ridiculous how long I've had this blog. The earliest entry in here is from March 26, 2001. I was 14 years old at the time! I've marked all previous entries as "drafts" so as not to fuddle the Internet with my inane teenage ramblings.

Nowadays, I'm spending a lot of time in graduate school (where I am pursuing a Master's in Library & Information Science) and at work (where I am a College Assistant at the Brooklyn College Library). Two of my classes in the Spring 2009 semester require me to create blogs... so that got me to reminiscing about this little corner of the web.

I wish I could remember for what purposes I'd used this account... or exactly when I created it. (Blogger seems to think it was in May 2007 but that can't possibly be right.) And I don't know what I'm going to do with it now but it's certainly nice to know that it exists. (And, for once, I have a username that is actually my name. Now if I could only say the same thing about my LiveJournal account...)
